Predictive Index Review results

I had posted about my experience with PI review previously in this blog. I managed to lay my hands on the results. I thought I might post them here for the benefit of others. This aint a complete set but is major part of the review results provided. Its pretty amazing the kind of review they provide by analyzing the combination of a few words.

wandering aimlessly

i find myself at the same crossroads again... roads leading to nowhere... or at least thats what it seems like.

Listening to Osho's talks gives some peace... the past and future talk helps to put things in the right perspective... of how ambitions are all built-up notions of a hazy sleeping mind. Sometimes I wonder if me not having any real ambitions or dreams is a good thing or bad. All I can aspire right now is to be 'fine' in the coming year.

Rain rain go away

Rain rain go away little Johnny wants to play. Its been raining almost continuously here for the last 10 days... hardly a lengthy peek from the Sun. I left Mumbai just in time to escape the Monsoon rains there but here its following me. Its supposedly going to be like this for another week... God save me... I'm disgusted.

Final Judgement

I recently interviewed at a company for a contract position. After a brief 15-20 minute interview, the manager approved my selection for the job. My consulting company got the Purchase Order (called PO in consulting circles) in a couple days. Apparently, this PO thing is a big thing. Until you get your PO you can't be assured of the contract. Anyway I got mine without many hassles and was mentally preparing for the new job. Then the hiring company asked me to take a Predictive Index (PI) review. I had never heard of it before and was wondering what it could be.

Could the results of the review still jeopardize my job? The answer came from an American colleague of mine who told me that PI review is a simple HR process to try and find the best fit for a potential employee. It seems the Management uses it to find out a person's attitudes and traits to be able to place him/her better in managerial/supervisory/team member role.

I took the PI review today evening and have some screen shots am attaching some screen shots below. I'm hoping the company provides me the results of the review. Here are some links about the Predictive Index Review:

lost ground...

It has been a tough few months...

didn't get the job I wanted...

had to change my field of work...

my laptop was stolen two months back...

and now day before yesterday I wrecked my car... a silly teenage girl was driving in front of me... she changed lanes and came back to my lane suddenly... I didn't have enough time to brake... so now my car is a total loss... woh bolte hain naa ki saala bad luck hi kharab hai... the only positive thing is that neither me nor she was hurt at all... jaan bachi to lakho paaye laut ke buddhu ghar ko aaye... financial losses are running into thousands... indian rupees mein lakhs... damn if only I could rewind the clock back to at least a few days...

I can still hear the loud metallic clang and the skidding screeching of my brakes... I could hardly sleep the last two nights... jaane kya soch kar nahi guzara... ek pal raat bhar nahi guzara...

who moved my cheese?

Day before yesterday I went to Barnes and Noble to read some books but soon I bot bored of them and ended up reading 'Who moved my cheese'.

Here are my thoughts about it.

I just finished reading this book Who moved my cheese by Dr. Spencer Johnson. Its a simple book, well-written with easy language which makes for good reading. Using mice and little people as characters, the author builds an engaging, straight forward story of how different people react to changes around them and how he hopes we all, by that I mean all the readers, can take a lesson or two from this magically successful book. The author later came up with many versions applicable to teens and kids etc.

I definitely recommend anybody to read this book. Even though I found the book inspiring with all those insights and anecdotes in it, I also have a disclaimer which goes like this, read and try to enjoy the book in one sitting because its a little cheesy. The book really has few pages and I completed it in 2 hours.
